As for charging while using, using the aux cable frees up the charging jack on the ipod so it can be plugged into a wall. I don?t consider this a hassle but some might. I also like the mini-jack, which is straight rather than right-angled. I don?t know

I also had the ultimate ears which are hi5 extended bass headphones . Ive also used the high end sony earbuds but the sound isnt great on those (especially at 140$ per pair).
